How to connect ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini to Instagram (+15 prompts)
Connect ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini to your Instagram in 5 minutes through an MCP connector: step-by-step setup and 15 prompts for reels, comments and DMs.
In short
- You can connect ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini to an Instagram Business or Creator account through an MCP connector: add the address https://ai-xodim.uz/mcp in the AI app, sign in to Ai Xodim and allow access.
- Once connected, the AI works with your real numbers — reach, views, shares, saves, reels watch time, comments and Direct — instead of guessing from screenshots.
- It can also reply to comments, hide spam and create auto-reply rules, but only after it shows you the exact text and you say yes.
- Claude works on the web, desktop and phone, ChatGPT needs developer mode on a paid plan, and Gemini connects through Gemini CLI; the connector is part of Ai Xodim Pro ($9.99 a month, the first 3 days free, no card needed).

Ask ChatGPT “why did my last reel flop?” and you'll get a polite list of generic tips — it has never seen your account. Connect ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini to Instagram, ask the same question, and the answer is built on your reach, your watch time and your comments. Below: how to connect each of the three in about five minutes, what to ask, and where the limits are.
What changes when your AI can see your Instagram
An AI assistant is only as good as what it can see. Without a connection you are the courier: you take screenshots, copy comments, paste numbers, and the AI works with whatever you remembered to bring. With a connection it fetches the data itself, at the moment you ask.
| Task | Without a connection | With the AI connector |
|---|---|---|
| “How did this month go?” | You paste screenshots from Insights | The AI pulls 30-day reach, views, interactions and follower growth |
| Reels review | You copy numbers reel by reel | One request: views, shares, saves and watch time, each reel compared with your median |
| Comments | You scroll and hope nobody was missed | The AI finds comments nobody answered and drafts replies |
| Auto-replies | You click through forms | You describe the rule in a sentence and confirm |
| Weekly report | You build a spreadsheet | “Report on auto-replies for 7 days” |
The technology behind this is MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard for connecting AI apps to outside tools (what MCP is, in plain words). For this guide you only need one thing from it: an address.
What you need before you connect
- An Instagram Business or Creator account. Instagram opens its API only to professional accounts. Switching is free: Instagram app → Settings → Account type and tools.
- An Ai Xodim account with Instagram connected. Sign up with a login and password or with Google / Apple, then press “Connect Instagram” — the official Instagram login window opens, so Ai Xodim never sees your password.
- An AI app that supports MCP connectors: Claude, ChatGPT on a paid plan, Gemini CLI, Cursor, VS Code or Claude Code.
- Ai Xodim Pro for the connector's tools — $9.99 a month, the first 3 days free, no card needed.
- The address:
https://ai-xodim.uz/mcp. It's the same for everyone; your sign-in decides which accounts the AI sees.
How to connect Claude to Instagram
Works on claude.ai, in Claude Desktop and in the mobile app.
- Open Settings → Connectors.
- Click “Add custom connector”, call it “Ai Xodim” and paste
https://ai-xodim.uz/mcp. - Save. A sign-in window opens — sign in to Ai Xodim with the account your Instagram is connected to and allow access.
- Start a new chat and ask: “Show my Instagram accounts”. If Claude lists them, you're done.

How to connect ChatGPT to Instagram
In ChatGPT, custom connectors live in developer mode, which is available on paid plans.
- Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced.
- Turn on developer mode.
- Click “Create”, give the connector a name and paste
https://ai-xodim.uz/mcp. - Sign in to Ai Xodim and allow access.
- Ask about your Instagram in a new chat. If the answer sounds generic rather than built on your numbers, mention “Ai Xodim”.

How to connect Gemini to Instagram
The regular Gemini app lets you add your own connectors only in the US for now, so Gemini connects through Gemini CLI — Google's free command-line app for macOS, Windows and Linux.
- Get a free API key at aistudio.google.com/app/apikey (“Create API key”). Gemini CLI signs in with a key rather than a regular Google account; the free key works with Flash models.
- Install Gemini CLI (it needs Node.js 20 or newer):
npm install -g @google/gemini-cli. On a Mac,brew install gemini-cliworks too. - Add Ai Xodim:
gemini mcp add --scope user --transport http aixodim https://ai-xodim.uz/mcp - Run
gemini, choose “Use Gemini API Key” and paste your key. - Type
/mcp auth aixodim. A browser opens — sign in to Ai Xodim and allow access. - Check with
/mcp list: you'll seeaixodimand its tools.
Gemini CLI asks before every tool call, once or for the whole session. The Gemini API isn't available everywhere — Russia and Belarus, for example, aren't supported.
Other apps. Claude Code connects with one command: claude mcp add --transport http aixodim https://ai-xodim.uz/mcp. In Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients, add a server with the same address — on the first request a browser opens for sign-in.
15 prompts to try first
| Goal | Ask your AI | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly check-up | “How did my Instagram do over the last 30 days? Compare reach, views and new followers.” | Pulls 30-day reach, views and follower growth |
| Engagement | “What's my engagement rate by reach, and which posts beat the median?” | Counts likes, comments, saves and shares against reach |
| Reels that spread | “Which reels got the most shares this month and why?” | Runs the Reels report: views, shares, saves, watch time vs your median |
| Watch time | “Which reels lose viewers fastest? Compare average watch time.” | Compares watch time across recent reels |
| Audience | “Who follows me: age, gender, top countries and cities?” | Reads audience demographics |
| Content ideas | “Based on my five best reels, suggest five new reel ideas.” | Finds what the leaders share and turns it into ideas |
| Unanswered comments | “Find comments nobody answered and draft replies.” | Lists comments without your reply and writes drafts |
| Moderation | “Hide the spam comments under my last reel.” | Shows what it will hide and waits for your yes |
| Comment → DM | “Create an auto-reply: comment PRICE under my last reel → send the price list in DM.” | Builds the rule, shows it, saves it after your yes |
| Giveaway | “Make a rule for any comment under the giveaway post, with a soft follow check.” | Uses “any comment” mode and asks to follow first |
| Direct topics | “What do people ask most in Direct this week?” | Groups incoming messages by topic |
| Needs a human | “Which DMs did the auto-reply leave unanswered? Draft answers.” | Finds those messages and drafts replies |
| Default reply | “Turn on a default reply in Direct, once a day per person: thanks, we'll answer within an hour.” | Sets the default reply and its mode |
| Report | “Report on auto-replies for 7 days: best rules and where people came from.” | Messages sent, top rules, the funnel by source |
| Telegram | “Check my Telegram and draft replies.” | Lists chats waiting for you and drafts a reply for each (Telegram secretary) |
A few habits make answers sharper: name the period (“last 30 days”), name the account if you have several, ask for a format (“as a table”), and always follow up with “why?” and “what should I do next?”. That's where an AI with real data beats any dashboard.
What the AI can and can't do
It can:
- read analytics, the Reels report, your posts and any single post's insights;
- read comments, find unanswered ones, reply publicly or in Direct to a commenter, hide or delete comments;
- read Direct together with what the auto-reply did, and send a DM to someone who wrote within the last 24 hours;
- list, create, change and delete auto-reply rules (including the follow check), switch Direct auto-replies and set the default reply;
- build an auto-reply report for today, 7 or 30 days;
- with the Telegram secretary, read new messages in the personal chats you allowed and send the replies you approve.
It can't:
- publish posts or reels, edit your profile or run ads — there are no such tools;
- message people who haven't written to you in the last 24 hours — that's Instagram's rule;
- see accounts that aren't yours;
- read photos, stickers or shared reels in Direct — the log keeps text messages.
Is it safe to give an AI access to Instagram?
- No passwords. You connect through the Ai Xodim sign-in window; the AI never gets your passwords, and Ai Xodim works with Instagram through the official API.
- Only your accounts. The AI sees the accounts connected to your Ai Xodim login and nothing else.
- A yes before every action. Before a public reply, a message, a rule change or a deletion, the AI is told to show you the exact text and wait for your yes. Reading needs no confirmation; acting needs you.
- Revoke in one click. Dashboard “AI connector” → “Connected apps” → “Revoke”, and the AI loses access.
How much it costs
Your AI subscription — Claude, ChatGPT or a Gemini API key: you pay the AI provider as usual, and Ai Xodim doesn't charge for AI. Ai Xodim Pro — $9.99 a month, the first 3 days free with no card — includes the AI connector and the auto-replies; the trial starts by itself when you sign up, and then you subscribe in the Ai Xodim app on the App Store or Google Play. Connecting Instagram and the analytics in the dashboard are free. See pricing.
