How the follow check works

A button opens the door

Followers get it at once

Open a rule

Any rule in “Comment auto-replies” or “Direct auto-replies” — a new one or one that already works.
Choose the mode

In the follow check, pick “Ask to follow”. “Don't check follows” sends the material straight away, without asking.
Check the texts

The message with the button, the button label (up to 20 characters) and the reminder for people who don't follow yet.
Save and watch the numbers

Each rule shows how many followers it brought — compare it with your rules without a check.

Why ask for a follow at all

The moment someone comments your keyword is the moment of highest interest. A follow turns that one-time visitor into someone who sees your next reels — the people most likely to buy later.

The button isn't decoration. Instagram reveals whether a person follows you only after they interact with you in Direct: tap a button or send a message. Questions and answers

Can a bot really check if someone follows my Instagram?

Yes, through the official Instagram API — but Instagram reveals it only after the person taps a button or writes to you. That's why the follow check starts with a message with a button.

Someone followed, but the bot says it can't see it. Why?

Instagram shows a new follow with a delay of up to about a minute, so someone who taps right after following may get the reminder. On the next tap the material arrives anyway.

Why is there no “followers only” mode?
